lalabor assisting veterans secure meaningful careers in the building and construction trades
Up early in the morning with the Plasterers Open House for #Veterans. @LAUnitedWay & assisting vets secure meaningful careers in the building and construction trades. #United4Vets (at Plasterers Local Union No 200)
In 2009 I spent time in a refugee camp outside Kabul, Afghanistan. Two hundred displaced families by war, living off a 5 lbs bag of rice per day for the entire camp. Children with missing limbs who’s lives been destroyed, are sights I will never forget. A recruiting hotbed for extremism. #ThinkDifferent #FlashbackFriday

Thirteen years ago, today, I was training in Australia. Little did I know that in less than 30 days I would be part of the first Marines to set foot in Afghanistan.
Today, we reflect on the lives of those affected by the horrific events of September 11, 2001.
But we must also remember the millions who have served, and the thousands who lost their lives, in defense of our nation since that day. #NeverForget
